Rolling hills, fields and a winding road in the Scottish Borders

Stories and Films · Discover Scottish Borders

Explore the stories behind the view.

Discover Scottish Borders is an independent history, heritage and storytelling website exploring Scotland’s historic border country. It brings together long-form articles, local research, photographs, social updates and more than 300 researched films.

Rooted in the Scottish Borders, the project reaches into northern England and the wider Anglo-Scottish Borderlands — a frontier whose routes, communities and identities began long before the modern boundary between the two countries.
